I ditched the rears (ugly IMO) but kept the fronts (they kinda work with the car's overall lines).
But I may take the fronts off too. I keep coming back to this question: have you ever seen a really high-class sports car (Porche, Ferrari, Lotus, etc.) that had mud guards?

I have the mud guards on, nobody has made a comment that mudguards made the Z looked ugly. Nor I had anyone acknowledge that the Z even had mudguards on.

Before I installed the body kit, I removed the front guards & left the rears on. Speaking from personal experience, the longer you leave them on after purchase, the more prone they are to scratch the body under them. The rears did a number on mine near the top of the guards.

when you think about it the mud guards do kinda disrupt the overall line of the bottom of the car in stock form. it's one height from the front lip to the side sills and the bottom of the rear vallance, and the mud guards kinda disrupt that line. i originally had the mud guards and left them on after getting my front lip. which makes sense in that the front of the line at the nose is brought lower by the lip and it continues to the front mud guard, but is lost there after. however, imo when you add the nismo side skirts it brings the line even lower all the way from the front and along the side sills. then at the rear mud guard the line stops and the tapering of the rear valance begins. the rear mud guards work perfectly with the lower line of the front lip/side sills and accentuates the natural inward curve of the rear valance. i hope the pic of my car helps illustrate what i'm trying to say.

ajk4,
Those are the first skirt set up that I have found attractive. Tell me what you ordered (skirt and front lip) please. I like, I like.
What you have done is add some nice accents to an already nice car, I hate it when someone adds "rice bowl" and totally screws up the Z.

I just picked up a brand new 2004 base 2 weeks ago and also bought some 19x8.5/19x9.5 Volk GT7's and the rear tires are 275's so they look huge from the back. I was planning on installing my splashguards this weekend as well because they almost look rediculous when looked at from an angle. Maybe its just me but I think they look good on a non kitted car.
