Florida Preview?
I think I read on here that the TX cars are going back to CA for this weekends San Fran Nissan event. BTW, there has been no mention of ANY sort of preview ANYWHERE on the east coast. DAMN, that's what we get for buyin our cars with these crappy east coast dollars that obviously aren't near as good as the California and Texas dollars.

Hopefully this doesn't get political because that's a can of worms best left out of a 350Z forum.
Nothing personal against either of you.... we all have our opinion regarding that. How could we not? (heh heh)
I can't be specific but I can say that one that knows how a car launch like this goes, might guess that there would be 2-3 dozen Z's inside the US right now, in various states. I'd guess these cars are being tested by media or tested by Nissan or whoever tests cars?
Wish I knew where these tests might be happening, but I don't. I do know that when Nissan gets an official request for a car show or whatever, they pass it on to their area regional management to see if it's an event worthy of the 350Z because there are way more events than there are cars right now. Everyone wants the Z and nobody seems to understand the cars are streched thin as it is. I feel bad for the powers that be because these guys are working some long hours and then some.
In the couple times I have spoken on the phone with Nissan or exchanged emails, it has always been well into the evening. Yup, they're still at the office, long after people go home, making sure everything for the next day is solid. Making sure the right people are getting the cars so they car write the articles that we, the consumers feel we must read before we decide if we're going to slap down our money or not.
I honestly feel bad for those few out there that haven't made the leap and put down money with Nissan yet. They will be waiting a great deal into 2003 if they wait until August when the magazines come out, to register their car choice. I don't think many can truly appreciate how much of a commotion this is going to cause once the magazines hit.
The stats on this car, the sheer ability this car has for $26,000 and change compared to other cars costing $20,000 more is unreal at best. The tidal wave of people going in to buy will once again, place Nissan in control of the under $50,000 sports car market and make others like Honda, Porsche and Audi start to sweat.
Nissan has already sold 6200+ cars and this is with the public not even seeing the car for the most part. Not driving it, no stats being released. This is based off the enthusiasts that understand Nissan and knows what they're doing. More importantly, TRUSTS what they're doing and believes in them.
The 350Z is the rebirth of cool and those that don't get it now, most likely never will.
If I hear anything regarding Florida or the East Coast, I'll let ya' know
sorry for the little rambling on, I get excited when I think of the things lined up...
