http://www.pontiac.com/ Then go to GTO, see for yourself.
The point is...The GTO looks like a Grand Am or is it the Gran Prix....? Park it on a Pontiac lot close to either one and you can't tell them apart. And yes I know they added hood scopes! The Z has Style! Our cars don't look like Altimas.... What's up Georgia!!???

Apparently the private planes AREN'T up in Georgia.
The Z has the same ideas and heritage the reborn GTO has.
GTO: The OG muscle car. Lightweight for it's time American coupe with stripped down luxury features with an overpowered engine for it's day. Body style very subtle and performance cues like tachometer on the hood and ram air. Quarter mile back then 14.7 now 13.2.
Z: The OG affordable well rounded sports car shapely disitinct from japan to match the performance of a more expensive European grand touring car. And you know the rest!
Mustang: Crappy 40 year old foxbody design always beat by the Camaro. College chicks love it in V6 convertible when daddy buys it and gets awful gas mileage and as reliable as a Ford.
Civic: Cvcc gets great gas mileage during the oil crisis. Now it does the same thing but with a noisy Vtec sound. Still embarassing to own or drive.

They've changed the design quite a bit. And...the SVT Cobra was faster than the Camaro/Firebird before GM pulled the plug on them. Agreed, this is why Ford can even offer a GT or SVT Cobra, is from selling so many V6 models.
Don't mind me though, i'm a Mustang fan.

Gotta disagree with the Mustang comment.

Not completely truthful or well driven:

Only the last gen foxbody Cobras are respectably fast from what I understand. They run mid 12s very easily and are priced competitively for it's power. Saleen S281s come N/A too. Roush is mostly bodykits. I love the sound of Blowzilla though.

I'm looking forward to the next Chevrolet sports car though (not the vette), a retro Chevy should be interesting.
LOL! I thought I was the only one disgusted by V6 Stangs. They are so popular down here with the posers in miami. Eveyrone and their mom has a v6 stang with a GT badge on the back... I see your damn pony badge on teh side and your single muffler!
Btw, Stangs are awesome... Well I liked mine till it had tranny probs after 6 months... :/
Back to the GTO, I like the styling. Which was borrowed from the Holden Monaro. It's a definet sleeper and parts should net crazy gains.

you speaking 5.7 NA vs 4.6 supercharged...you are talking about different hemispheres..a good comparison would be a gt and z28..or even maybe an ss...throw the same supercharger on an 02 ss with the same amount of psi...see who runs the 1/4 faster...and...the cobra runs mid 12's...while an ss runs em high...ud break into 11's possibly with an SC on a ss
