2005 gto vs. 350z
Yep, the 05 GTO is quite a bit faster than our Z.
A stock 04 GTO could come down to a drivers race, but some of them have also run in the low to mid 13's, so again I would give the GTO the edge.
They are much easier to launch as well.
I did beat an 04 GTO 6 speed, which had a CAI, at SDR, but with practice, he will probably drop his times. His car only has a couple thousand miles on it as well.
On a road course, the Z has a major advantage.

How about we compare the Pontiac GTO vs Nissan Z in a coast to coast run from NYC to LA....Like the Car & Driver "Lap Across America"....The Pontiac will need numerous repairs...Rebuilt engine and tranny and God knows what else......Meanwhile the Z will still be rollin' right along.....Watch the Z cross the finish line and the Pontiac make it there 2 months later...LOL

We are not going to get into which one has more potential and/or which one can be made faster for the same amount of money/parts.

From APS which also does TT for the Z
With insane horsepower and monster torque (over double the torque at 3,500 rpm), the APS Intercooled Twin Turbo High Output System performs like a strong 9L Big Block and raises the LS1 performance enthusiast exclusively into the supercar club with 11 second quarter mile performance on street tyres!

Yea, and a couple of replies up, dude said a tt would walk the gto. If a modded Z is getting into the topic, why can't the goat be modded in the comparison too?

BTW, I think the domestic guys are realizing gone are the days of throwing a s/c on it and making near 500hp with a stock motor. The new 4.6 3V (Ford, I know...) has to have pistons and rods replace right around where the Z does.
