to he11 with all the construction around here. I got a nice big rock chip right on the hood and it's easy to see too because it looks white and with the yellow paint it sticks out. I had my SRT-4 nearly a year and a half and never so much as got a single nick anywhere....not even on the rims. I have my Z 3 months and the hood is dogged. I wonder how much it'll cost to fix it.

sorry to hear that. I've got a ton of rock chips as well but on my SS it's not as noticeable.

 

I got some little chips on the hood. To prevent it from getting worse. I put on the bra that covers the front part of the hood. The bumper gets the most beating. I have over 23k miles so far and the bumper has so many chips,sandblasting it looks like its all blended in.

 

Get used to it. Hood, bumper, side mirrors, even my doors have chips. The paint flakes off at the drop of a hat. (I wouldn't suggest dropping your hat on the Z though, it'll probably chip).

lol... yup got at least 6 chips on my hood in the last 10 months... don't even ask about the front bumper... i have the bra... but had to take it off in the rain and thats when some real knarly ones hit.. sigh..
