Hey Z Gang,
Im only 20, but i could really care less about how my audio sounds, i can't hear worth a $hit anyways, i would rather hear the whine of a S/C under the hood then some subs hitten. The Stock HU will be fine for me, i am just going to get a DVD/Screen installed, maybe some basic mods and if i can front the cash, a nice Blower... HEHE. Keep your bass and highs, give me FI.

It really depends....some bose systems are rather non-standard and utilize speakers with odd impediances. You average aftermareket speakers have an impediance of 4ohms. Most aftermarket Amps are designed with that in mind. If the speakers are 2ohm, you'll get more output (double) w/ more THD (Distortion) ...if the speakers are 8ohm, you'll get less output (1/2)...
I don't know the details of the bose system. I do know that the amps were designed as a set with these speakers....so i wouldn't go changing the amp without changing speakers....besides you'll get more of result changing the speakers anyway. Keep in mind if the speakers are proprietary...then the amps are as well.....
Hense replace everything
hehe....nah....hense do some research...

IMO, if you paid for the Bose system, just keep it. It'll sound good, it's under warranty, it'll keep the value of the car up (everyone knows Bose, nobody knows JL/CDT/Focal/Cadence), and it's a major PITA to try and modify. Ask anyone w/ a Maxima or 300ZX.
