Default PeopleFirst \ Costco

Hey Guys...

I know others have mentioned that if you are a Costco member and you go through their website to apply for the loan, you get a discount, currently that discount is 4.74 Gold Mbr, and 4.64 Exec Mbr, from 4.99 60mos.

I went to Costco's website and clicked on the link to apply for the PeopleFirst loan and entered a fake membership # and selected either membership type and it accepted it and brought me to the initial application page with the adjusted rates. My question is, do you guys think this would actually work??... Do they (costco\peoplefirst) actually verify the membership at some point. I was expecting it to catch the invalid \ fake membership Id immediately on the first page on Costco's website.

If you go through all the application pages, just before you submitt your application, there is fine print that may answer this question, but I wasn't too sure what they were saying.

What do you guys think??

People First just got bought by Capital One, so the whole process may change.

My fiance works for Capital One and as far as he knows, they're not going to change anything, but then again, the decision isn't in his hands. He also refinanced his car through People First, so I'll ask him what he knows and get back to ya!

I applied for the peoplefirst loan through costco. I think you can get away with entering a fake number. Once you're at the application page and it shows the discounted rate i bet you're good to go.

I personally used my real membership number because i have one and i am not recommending you apply as a costco member when in fact you're not, but to answer your question I think it would work.

And you can pick up a 5 gallon bucket of soy sauce too!

I saw it with my own eyes or I wouldn't have believed it!

Default how long does it take to get loan?

Most dealers will give you 5 days to get a loan for your car and then it rolls over into their loan. does anyone know how long it takes to get this loan from costco/capital 1?
