Why doesn't the CD player play MP3??

MP3 are no kiddies! They are as good as conventional CD quality. You can encode them 44k, 48k or even more.

The only reason I see is change. Manufacturers need to get the most juice out before they look into newer design. If nissan wants, bose will make one!

Hell, I want built-in flash-memory stick, 20GB hard drive, and a bluetooth (or USB/FW) in a car stereo!

Maybe you just dont know how to record and reproduce correctly. My MP3s sound great. Check out some good burning/ripping software.

If anyone finds out about a replacement head unit to turn the Bose 6-CD changer into a 6-CD changer capable of decoding MP3's, please let us all know!!
