Default 350z questions

i have some questions about the 350z. i bought a basic 350z, no hid, no traction control, etc. anyways i would like to get traction control on and off on my car, so if i just bought the traction control button and hooked it up to the ecu, would it work the same as the other 350z models? and another question is i have halogen lamps on my 350z, could i just buy a hid kit to have hid, or do i have to buy a new headlight to have hid?

Best thing to do about traction is to buy a really good LSD IMO.

And about the lights, you can just go to the junk yard to find a wrecked 350Z and jack the Xenon lights

No you cant add traction control. Did you test drive an enthusiast before you got the base? It was prolly a nice day anyways so you wouldnt have a problem with traction.

If you have the base 350Z it has no traction control, meaning it is always off. If you are drifting you bought the perfect car. All you need now is an Nismo LSD.

It's not just adding the traction control button, it's adding the whole traction control system to the vehicle that's complicated...too complicated. I'm not exactly sure what's all involved with it, but I'm pretty sure it'd mean taking out the entire suspension.

Why do you want traction control if you just want to turn it off? Your base model does not have traction control, so why worry about it if you don't want it anyways?

THE BASE MODEL DOES NOT HAVE THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM OR THE BUTTON TO ACTIVATE OR DEACTIVATE IT.

There is no reason to install a button because it won't be able to turn the system on or off because you don't have it. Your friends don't know what the heck they are talking about.

As for the Nismo LSD, check out Performance Nissan. They usually have good prices.

Dude with the amount of rain in Tacoma having no traction control... I hope you know what you're doing cause with so much power you will loose traction A LOT. I mean, if you drive it everyday. If you going to use it just for drifting and not much around town then I guess it doesn't matter.

LMAO

This kid is going to get in a wreck within the next 3 months. I'll bet any amount of money on it. The car has NO problem getting sideways on dry road. Drive it on a rainy day without TC and you have to drive it like a Chevy Metro.
