New Gran Turismo 4 = Z Fest
I just bought Gran Turismo 4 for my Playstation 2, and I can't believe all the Z cars they've got. They're supposed to have six different 350Zs (although I've only run across 4 right now). They even have what they call a 350Z Gran Turismo version -- it has the same wheels as the 35th anniversary Z, and it's available in either yellow or black.
They models they use are very accurate. The 350Z Touring has the right wheels and it's in the right colors. The Track model has the correct Rays Engineering wheels and you can even see the orange Brembo brakes.
I found a 240Z, 280ZX, and even a first generation 300ZX. Unfortunately I haven't found a way to buy a new 300ZX Twin Turbo in the game, although you can hunt for one used.

Watch out when you buy a Z on GT4, make sure you get the JPN spec Z with the Track rims on it. I bought the US spec one and I couldn't race it in the RR class because there is no classification on that model. Go to Nissans new car section and look at the new Z's the US spec Z says -- under classification. Kind of wierd.

I believe the Gran Turismo version IS the 35th Anniversary version, they just call it the GT version in other countries. UK people, am I correct on this?

Gran Turismo has always only been available for the Playstation consoles. What about Halo getting released for PS?
Luckily, I bought all 3 consoles so I don't have to mess with renting anymore.

So it's either too new or they don't have the option to get them. After all, the 35th is only about a little over a month old and I have yet to see one in the States.

He has in his sig. the 350Z he ordered. It's called the Gran Turismo 4 edition (called 35th in the U.S.).

Anyone tried the steering module and foot pedal controllers yet? I'm not a very good driver in that game with the steering module (I felt the steering response was too slow for me). However, it was nice to get a semi-car feel to it.

I have the $150 Logitech GT Force Pro wheel and the xelerator wheel stand from ebay for$90. I might have spent three hundred dollars on this game but with the wheel it is a very accurate simulation. Professional drivers on Tsukuba circuit in Japan get within a half seccond per lap when using the licensed wheel on an identical S2000 in real life. The wheel has 900 degrees of rotation which is two and a half turns to lock making it very real. The force feedback is nothing doesn't simply vibrate, it pulls the wheel based on road surface and rotational pull of the car. I wouldn't play the game with anything less.
