Default Turn off alarm beep?

Is there any way to disable the horn beep caused by the alarm activation? The blinking lights are enough.

Hold both lock & un-lock buttons down until parking lights flash to toggle between modes.

Thanks,

A friend of mine dropped by with his silver touring a couple of hours after delivery and asked me about it. I told him to check the manual, but I knew the forum would have been faster. I finally had a chance to drive one and it is a hell of a car.

Question Should I do this before the car is locked?

Does it matter if I do it when it's armed or disarmed? Thanks!

This is the greatest post. I hate that damn horn 'beep', now it's time to get the window streak problem fixed and I'm happy as hell.

Lock and unlock at the same time, the lights will blink when it changes states. Repeat to toggle....

Although, I did find a good use for that beep. I work on the 2nd floor, and park the car where I can look out the window and keep an eye on it. Noticed that birds are highly attracted to Daytona Blue. As I was griping about the flock around the car yesterday morning, my cell(cubicle)-mate suggested I hit the lock button.

Sure enough, it had the range and we saw the lights flash, and the flock of birds zoom off! Got a good giggle out of it, now we also wait for people walking by to give them a little jolt. It's immature, but so fun...
