So today im driving on a local highway and the speed limit is 55 and i was going around 65-67 or so and i see this cop going the opposite way but he turns on his lights and turns around and pulls me over. He asks how fast i think i was going i said 65 and he said i clocked u goin 75. THERE IS NO WAY IN HOT HELL i was going 75, im constantly looking at my speedometer. I said ok and he came back with a ticket and told me he hadnt calibrated his radar until just NOW, and so in other words the whole day including when i was clocked it wasnt calibrated. He even wrote on the ticket it was calibrated at 1:43 pm and i was pulled over at 1:38. Should i fight it in court on this claim? also i talked to a guy i work with who was a fulton county officer for 12 years until 2 yrs ago and he told me to plead not guilty and when im in court say that how could he know its me he clocked cuz he was going the other way and it coulda been the guy in the right lane and not me....and he told me other things. What you guys think?
If you don't think you will win and they won't budge on the ticket....
Please not quilty and request a trial by jury.
Hey, if they're not going to cut you a break, you might as well take them down the toilet by sapping their time, money, and resources.

Definitely fight it.
He was going the opposite direction. Can you subpeona the video recorder in his patrol car?
Second, could you possibly prove that his radar was not calibrated?

Good luck with the ticket, but do not sap our time, money, and resources! Taxes are high enough in Georgia already. JMO

If you're going to fall, take someone down with you too.

Bottom line. He must produce the certificate stating it was calibrated, which will say when. What he really said is "I'm not letting another one get away with the, not calibrated within 6 month line. It's the time and date on your ticket is later than the one on the calibration, it's a loop hole, if not, it's over. Did accidenn investigations, etc for 22 yrs. in my previous proffession with the military. Retired physically, but not mentally, and requirements don't change overnight. That's my 2 cents worth today.

wouldnt the problem be that the calibration time is later than the ticket date. Cuz he calibrated the radar at 1:43 and the ticket was given at 1:38, hence how could the result at 1:38 be accurate. Like i said i know for damn sure i wasnt going 75, maybe 68 or so but not 75.
This should be an easy win for you i think. If his gun wasnt calibrated right and you guys were moving in the opposite direction, which to my knowledge is very hard or near impossible to correctly clock some1. Especially if he was going 55 and you were going 65.
There was a guy with a 350z here in AZ, that got gunned when the cop was at a complete stop, and he proved that somehow the gun did not read right, and actually drew it out, did all the math and proved it and got away with it.

The reason for the calibration time being after the time you were stopped is because the cop checked the radar after he stopped you. He also checked it after the last ticket too. This shows it was checked before and after the time you were stopped, and the theory is it was working in the meantime. Your chances of beating the ticket are slim, better to get it reduced to a non-moving violation so it will not have an effect on your insurance.
