I was comming home from the movies around 2:00am ish driving down route 18 north i hit a pach of 'black ice' and the tail of my car started to come out... i tried to stear it back onto the road with no luck... my car then slips into a light poll onto the crub through the grass and then onto the other exit ramp. Thankfully no one was hurt. my car however is all messed up... my whole passenger side suspension is broken... i can't really see whats broken at the back but it doesn't look good... body wise i'm going to need new fenders and side skirts. and mud guards.. .. does any one have any idea how much its going to cost to fix my suspension? oh yeah.. i'm going to need rims too.

Yikes, those pictures look identical to a buffy of mine from around here with a 04 roadster, slid on black ice back in december, slid into a 6inch curb and his whole back end was sticking out, twisted, wheels ****ed. It cost him, his insurance around 14 grand canadian, that would be about 10-11 grand US dollars. On top of it all, it took about three months to get all those suspension pieces in from the dealer.

Uhh that is pretty damn close to being totalled... I was driving my lexus one day when this old ***** just ran threw this intersection and hit me in my back right... my right wheel and rear bumper was messed up, the arm or whatever that holds the wheel was slightly bent and the insurance company told me it was totaled and gave me a check.. still not sure whos fault it was.. i think it was hers considering i got a check so fast.. haha

I have a Base Model Z and I am paranoid as hell about having an accident like this one or worse! I hit a patch of black ice going about 15 MPH making a left turn and with all the damn torque this car has, I felt like I pulled a muscle in my left arm trying to steady the car and keep her in a straight line!!
God, I wish I got the Enthusiast or Touring Model!! I have a 4-year lease thru Nissan Motor Corp...Do you think they will let me upgrade to a higher level Z after a year or 2...or am I stuck?? Soon as I can afford it...I'm gettin' snow tires for my ride!

Are you guys crazy? There is no way they are going to total the vehicle. In order for that to happen, the cost of repairs must exceed the value of the vehicle. There is no way there is over $20,000 in damage.
Oh yeah, I'm a claims adjuster. I do this for a living.
