Talking FOrarri refuses ro race my Z

Was driving south on the 60 tonight around 5:40pm when a come across what looked to be a Ferrari.

I get closer and pull up next to the guy only to see that it is no Ferrari at all:

It is intead a FOrarri

FOrarri = A Pontiac Fiero car with a kit package put on it attempting to make it look like a Ferrari. The Ferrari this mental giant was trying to replicate...none other than the rare F40

I know I shouldn't have but I teased him like the "special" kid who still tries to participate in Gym class. Revved and Revvvvvved. It seemed like everyone was waiting for a race and starring our way. Honked 3 times....couldn't help but laugh at the top of my lungs. It was kind of mean but THE GUY WAS DRICING A REPLICA FERRARI....I mean c'mon!

Anyway he stopped looking my way and did not want any part of a race. I wish I had a camera on me SO BAD so that I could take a picture for you guys!

The replica was NOTHING like the real thing and the Ferrari letters and wheels look so GHETTO. The guy was in his 50s with white hair and a leather jacket on in Arizona weather

LMAO, I hate the fact that people do this. Ive also seen a Pontiac Fiero turned into a "Diablo". Guys that do this just need to accept the fact that they cant afford the real thing, and settle for something less like a used Vette or something. I woulda done the same thing, I woulda teased the $hit out of him for driving a replica. Why have the look if you cant back it up? LOL. He was prolly giving you the stuck up "my $hit dont stink" look even when his car is worth nothing

You know what man......as much as I think it's cheesy when they are obviuos copies, I mean it's not like he was lying and trying to pass it off to people, give the old dude a break.....I feel bad if he gets harrassed......I mean what about the people who actually love building KIT cars??? Maybe this was his first project and it came out bad.....NOW one FORRARI i had to laugh at was some punk-azz kid on the norther state HIGHWAY was stopped in the median getting gas next to me......in a fully primered(NOT PAINTED) but it was an eclipse with a 360 Modena Front, rear and sides....and horribly at that....and the guy claimed it was a ferrari that he bought after an accident except NO engine in the back and 3 diamonds on the sterring wheel!!!

NO WAY!

I respect very much what some people are saying and I feel the same way. If you love and take pride in building replicars who cares what people say/think....especially a 23 year old "kid" like me in a Japanese import.

I DO NOT think this was the case here. This was the WORST sorry excuse for a replica you could imagine! I have seen ones before that look JUST LIKE the real thing. Props to them...I wouldnt do it but I respect that someone had the skills to....and hey they can even laugh their way at me to the @ss bank

I SO wish i had a camera because would have seen why I was messing with im. THE F40...the wing and all. Wrong length/width/wheels/badging/antenna EVERYTHING was ghetto!

Hahahaha, sucks for that guy, but I guess that's what you have to expect when you drive a fiero that looks like a ferrari. It's no different than a civic with a gigantic wing and decals - a not-fast car made to look fast. Having said that, I would definitely drive a well-done ferrari or lambo replica, if it had a decent engine in it.

What color was it? I remember a post a while back about some kid with a fake one. Looked horrible. I think it was yellow, might have been red?

The kid says he gets more chicks with that car. My gf wouldnt be caught dead in it.

I have only seen one replica (in person) that would actually fool most people (not ferrari owners but thats ok). The guy said he spent $30-$40k on it. For that much I say just get a flashy Z in yellow or red but I guess he wanted it for more than just the chicks... not my scene though.

That reminds me of when I saw a Ford Mustang... with a Skyline
GT-R badge. I had a digicam in the car.. and when my girlfriend tried to take a picture of the badge he quickly moved across two lanes and got off the freeway....
LOL

IM NOT THE ONLY ONE.......I saw that on a Mustang on Scottsdale Road and I even said "You cant put a GT-R badge on a Mustang" He said "why not, what do you got in there!?"

He missed my point completely. Why would a Ford use a Nissan Badge?? I think they see the sticker one EBAY or something and really like it.

You can put a GT-R label on a ford mustang it refers to Fords concept car/race car version of the new mustang. Has nothing to do with Nissan.
