I'ved got a rock chip on my windshield and now it has a huge crack it's like 10 inches long. does anybody know how much an OEM windshield cost? and has anyone claim it on their insurance? any help would be appreciated. by the way it's so nice taking the Z on a long drive.

 

Don't buy OEM...it's crap and will cost you $800. Mine cracked at 3000 miles and I replaced with PPG based on suggestions by others. It looks identical and I've already had stones bounce off it with no cracks or chips. Oh...paid $260 installed.

 

I don't know about the cost, but i do have a advice, DO NOT heat your windshield with the A/C while the crack is still in there, i believe it will expand the crack, got that from a website somewhere

 

Got a crack on my 04 roadster winshield (1,300 miles). The insurance company agreed to pay for a dealer replacement winshield. The only difference, as I understand it, between a dealer windshield and a replacement one is that Nissan has their name stamped on it.
