Default ZDayZ Identification

Hey guys, I've never been to ZDayZ before but I plan on going. Now, I know all of you guys by username on this forum, but I have no clue what the majority of you look like. We're a big 'family' per se with the same interests and there's a lot of you that I'd like to get to know better.

I was wondering if it would be stupid to maybe have some kind of ID. Maybe like, have a small piece of paper or index card on the inside of our Z windows or even a name tag that stated our names & username in smaller print. Maybe even list what forum you're from because a lot of people don't read the same Z forum. Does this sound like a good idea? I don't want to do it and look like an idiot if nobody else is going to do it. I don't want to be the only idiot with a nametag.

That's a good idea. How about those cloth neck ID ropes? I'm having a brain fart at the moment, but I know there's a better name for them.

BTW, my name is Dave. And I have a problem. I'm addicted to my Z.

Hehe I was thinking the same thing! I was going to get shirt made that had my username on it but, on farther thought, I wasn't so sure how stupid I would look!!

Yes. It can be anything, actually the neck IDs would be even better. I just thought it would help us 'bond' better & I'm sure there's plenty of us who would like to meet others. Plus it would skip the talk of "Do you read the forums? Which one are you on? What's your username? I'm <insert name here>."

I'll probably make one and hide it in my glovebox. I'll wear it if I see the majority of people wear it. I can't be the black sheep you know, it would be too embarassing!

I think we may have had name tags last year during the dinners.

BTW, I am Adam. Its not an Z addiction its a Z lifestyle. Addictions have bad connotations.

Ways to find me:

Listen for the sweet sounding 7200 rpms of my Z on the dragon.
Listen for the sweet sounding 20,000 rpms of the gas powered blender.
Listen for hooting and hollering of the MTZC antics.

GOOD TIMES, INDEED!

We did not have nametags last year.

We are trying to arrange them for this year. What SmoothZ referred to are called "lanyards". Trying to get some if at all possible. If not, we may just print up a couple of sticker nametags for people we know are coming (in other words, pre-register so we can print you some nametags!).

Haven't decided what to put on them yet... initial thought is first name, forum names, and model of Z.

Holy crap. I have no clue... you'd have to find out how much it is wherever you're from. I'd assume $650 for the plane ticket minimum + whatever it costs for the boat for your car.

HOLY CRAP II!!!!!! I don't know the cost, but I'm 99% certain you'd win the long distance award if you entered the car show.

Not a worry... we wouldn't make you pay for those. If we get them, we would get them from a sponsor for free. So no cost for us either!

Hehe, well i've been to the states 10 times or so (relatives in Palm Desert), so i know the ticket costs, but what would it cost to ship the car... i contacted someone and they said (including padded container rental) about 350 euro... 450$

But i feel so damn lonely owning a Z over here... I need my Z to meet her friends!

AND i'm crazy like that... make it a holliday at the same time so then the cost aren't too bad right

at the Dorint, across from the world court. I've seen a silverstone Z running around there before. I'm an airline pilot, and it is my trip this week. The Netherlands is one of my favorite trips!
