Default Storing summer tires for the winter

Are there any precautions I should follow before I put the tires away for cold storage? Should I coat the rubber with some sort of solution to protect the rubber? I don't have a heated garage... is that going to matter? Am I better off putting the tires down in my basement instead?

if you are only storing them for winter they will be fine as long as they are inside somewhere. as far as to where to put them where ever you have space will be fine. If I were you i would make sure the tires are clean and apply a tire dressing to the sidewalls. just my $.02. good luck

What are you putting on for the winter? Did you buy new rims or replacing the tires on the rims you got with the car? Which rims do you have 18" or 17"

Thanks

Actually, I'm not getting the Z. I'm waiting on a call saying that my G35c is in. Before everyone begins to flame me, I was told that the Z and G35c share a lot of similarities, so I decided to register on this forum also for general VQ FM info.

I am getting the 6MT with brembo's and 18" wheels. The rotors/brakes are identical I beleive with the Z. There are only three rims that fit over the g35 brembos at this point...

17X7.5 5-114 ET35 SE FOX 5
17X8 5-114 ET35 MM AVIA
17X8 5-114 ET35 MM HT3

All rims are ugly, but I will be going with the FOX 5. Still debating to go with either the blizzaks or the
