Default Tire pressure sensor?

What's up everyone, I am pretty new to the Z. Bought my used 03 touring about a month ago and I noticed I don't have the tire pressure sensor. Was that an extra feature on the 03 touring model or am I just missing something. Btw my valve stems are black and the display that shows mph, dte, etc dosen't show tire pressure.

Do I just need to get the green valve stems or do I just not have this feature?

Thanks

I think all Touring Zs came with monitors. Did the previous buyer change wheels and/or sizes. Maybe the monitors did not get switched over if there was a change.

Hmmm good question. I bought the car used from a dealer and it looks to be plain old stock. The wheels and tires are oem 17's with minor curb rash so I don't think they were changed out, but who knows could have been changed back to stock at trade in?

I think I may even have nismo springs because next to my friends stock new 05 touring my car sits a bit lower.

Well the Touring comes with 18" wheels. I hope you didn't get an Enthusiast and pay for a Touring. The Enthusiast doesn't have TPS and comes with 17" wheels.

My 2003 Touring Z was loaded with everything but the tire pressure monitor and the nav system. It came with 17" wheels.

Just to make things more complex...the touring model w/ 6mt in Canada is called the Performance model but it comes with 18" (the car is equiped exactly like the US touring 6mt), the auto tranny touring model in Canada is called the touring model and it also comes with 18" (no 17" at all avail in Canada)

Thumbs up

18" wheels came with the MT Touring in 2003.
The TPM system also came with the MT Touring in 2003.
Both standard with the MT Touring.

17" wheels and no TPM system were standard on
AT Touring models in 2003.

The Nav system was an option on Performance,
Touring, and Track models only (in 2003).

All according to my 2003 US Nissan Z brochure.

You don't have this feature. All 2005 Zs have TPMS though, thanks to the Feds.
