Default warning from the apartment :(

This morning I left my apartment and saw a notice on my door that I was violating my lease b/c some people have complained about hearing the sound of "wheel spinning" while I was speeding.

Its not like I do burn outs or anything but sometimes I make a slight squeel when I first take off after going in reverse... but certainly not worse than other cars in the apartment but for all I know they have gotten warnings too. I am not pissed or anything except it bugs me that for the 4 months I lived here and drove a 626 I did the same thing and they never once said anything. I guess the Z just gets extra attention.

its pretty slick concrete easy to just pop the car up to 10-15mph and get a squeek from the rear tires.

There is no excuse for driving fast and I plan to slow down b/c I didn't mean to bother anyone and now that they brought it up I realized how immature it was... however there are tread marks just outside of my garage that lead right into my garage that I did with my FWD 626 five months ago...

Eh, I had some of the people who run my old apartment complex complain about my stereo being too loud, and driving too fast. They were reeeeal snotty about it too, not very polite. It really pissed me off, cause I actually was very carefull to keep the stereo down etc while in the complex, particularly after dark. Not to mention they never actually fixed any problems i reported with my apartment, and always sent me notices saying that I hadn't paid my rent, even though it was automatically deducted from my bank account every month.

So after that, I made it a priority to shake the administrative offices foundation every time I drove by. They never talked to me again or sent any notices or anything *shrug*.

Yeah, I really hated that place lol.

From the context of your comment, it sounds like your 24 going on 14.

There is nothing wrong with someone complaing about uneccessary noise. He even already admitted to everyone here he plans to slow down and take it easy because he has not been doing so up to this point. He knows what he is doing is not the proper or respectful thing to do.

There are other people in the world besides yourself who many not appreciate or enjoy everything you do...

That's cool that your slowin down man. I wouldn't have a problem with complaints as long as they were somewhat polite. From now on, wait till your right outta the complex, then...

It was some offical looking letter taped to my door saying they have recieved "serveral" complaints about sounds of squeeling and tire spin as well as speeding and that the posted limit for the apartment is 10mph. Like I said before I don't have a problem with them bringing it to my attention, if i was bothing people I want to stop. Its just annoying that they didn't bring it to my attention when I drove a less flashy car and did the same thing.

Just so you guys know I wasn't doing burn outs or anything in my complex but I would back out and you know when your rolling back and put in gear and pop it and you sometimes get a slight squeel... I did that once after I picked up my mail and left a little (seriously not that much it rained that afternoon and it was gone) bit of tread out in front of the main office while there were people working there that could see me. I think thats what kind of pissed them off. I really find it hard to believe that "several" people have complained about me speeding b/c I don't drive any faster than the next guy to get in and out of the apartment. I think they just wanted to rack up the charges on the form to give it more weight.

Yea I am looking in plano, allen would be some drive. I have plenty saved for a down payment. My lease is up in Aug so I will start talking to some real estate agents next month.

I think I need to buy a book or something about buying a house I have no idea how to haggle on the price. I am thinking I can afford something in the 130-140 range depending on how much tax is but I know the price people list houses for is not what they sell for. My only experiance is when my friend got a house he offered 40k less than the guy was asking and they took it.
