question on turn signals - do they make noise?
I think I'm losing my mind, but on my way to work this am I used my turn signals and noticed they make NO noise whatsoever in either direction. Are they supposed to make a clicking sound when they are on? I thought they did (up until today). Will someone please go check their Z and let me know. Looks like one more thing on the list of fixes for my first oil change.
Thanks in advance!

Funny you mention this - they ARE supposed to make noise- it's a click sound - actually it sounds different that the "click" in most other cars (kinda crappy I think- high pitch...), not unlike the click in the new Altima.
Anyway - my signal "click" stopped working for about 20 minutes - and then worked again - I don't know what caused this, or what the fix was... pretty odd.... I bet others have experienced the same thing.

Mine (the clicking sound) disappears periodically. It's just one of those things that's not important enough to let the dealer near my car to fix.
Glad it's not just me.

Left work last night and it "clicked" again. Went to work this am and no click. Left my blinker on at an intersection like a dumb-*** (because I had no click). Worth fixing? IF its an easy fix. It seems like problems like this usually take forever to fix. Anyone with this same problem had it looked at by your trusty dealership?

A friend of mine has an unrelated car, a Dodge Intrepid. The left clicker stopped. He took it in and they told him the entire computer system was failing in that area. $400 repair for the clicker.
The Z supposedly uses the computer system for the clicker as well.

That's funny. It's one of the first things we noticed when we drove off from the dealership.
But I don't think it is a noise. Rather it is a sound. It is pleasant, actually. I find myself using the blinker on every turn cause i really like the sound.

I got my blinker fixed last week because it was sometimes making the clicking noise and sometimes just silent. The fix under warranty (of course) was about $600. Well, this week the blinker still doesn't click. Has anyone else tried to get this fixed?
