Smile Took Only 5 Days To Get Mine!

On Monday, November 11, I decided to stop by one of the Nissan dealerships in town to see about getting a Z. I was interested in just the base model with splash guards added. They told me they could get me one in as little as 2 days. So of course I said, let's do it. But after going by on Wednesday to see if they were able to locate one, they were having difficulty getting one in the color I wanted. So they said they were getting a shipment in in 3 days and maybe they would have something for me.

9:05AM Saturday morning, I get the call and I'm up and out of the house headed to the dealership. Unfortunately they didn't have any base models but I was able to get a Redline Enthusiast 6MT. It cost more than I had wanted to pay but hell you only live once so I said where do I sign.

It's been 10 years since I've driven a manual transmission. It took only a second to get back used to it. This car is amazing to drive. I'm like a kid with a new toy (and technically I am, I guess).

I was also surprised how good the Redline looks in person. It was not one of my original color choices.

This is one Nissan that will definitely be DRIVEN!

Congrats on your new Z, I am sure you will enjoy it for years to come!

I put a deposit down September 27 (give or take) and got a different Z on November 7.

Sounds like your time to wait was pretty short compared to most others on the forum. Enjoy the manual tranny!

Default You Got My Color

Thanks...

I had an opportunity to see a Chrome Silver on the showroom floor but never in the sun. Several co-workers have seen it and they say it's gorgeous. It was my preferred color but there's no telling how long I would have had to wait to get it so I happily "settled" for the Redline.

good choice, theres like 70% silver Zs, that gets old seeing your own car. if you can live with another car you will be more unique.
