Texas has it right with regard to their personal defense laws.

How can anyone feel safe knowing that the law in their state would define them as criminal if they were trying to protect themselves on their own property? I'm sorry but those laws are illogical and aren't conducive to the original American way of life. I'd probably feel safer in jail that out in the public at the mercy of laws like that!

 

Ya lets give everyone guns so that anytime some pisses off someone with a short fuse they pull a gun and shoot them... I can picture it now, I accidently cut someone off and they start shooting at me...

The story told about the guy killing the bum with the knife is a perfect example of giving guns to people who shouldnt own one.... Yes he had every right to protect himself, but did he have to shoot the guy twice in the chest then get out of his car and shoot him in the head?!?!? This guy went beyond protecting himself. And his friend who's telling the story says he did the right thing because if he survived he would of sued him???!? So the moral of the story is if you shoot someone kill them so they can't sue you later??? You guys are just as sick as the guy who had the knife.

Athough I do think the story is complete BS.

 

Honestly this thread was about how I almost got my car jacked. Instead of arguing with each other about guns or what not lets leave that to everyone else's perogative. If you want to pack heat than do it, just be careful. If not, then be careful of those who do. Plain and simple, Don't try to jack a car, and for those willing to just give up your z then give it up. Theres no need to argue or what not, because I GUARANTEE YOU GUYS, even if you guys do have a gun, when situation comes for you to use it on someone that close of a range, it will be a whole new story. As much as people say "i'll blast him this, I'll blast him that," when it comes down to it, most wouldn't. So lets stop the arguing, kill this thread (sorry I even brought it up), and lets all just get along!

If you ask me; i ll tell you that a car isn't worth as much as your life. If someone is trying to jack you, "let them", that's what insurance are for. You never know that the bastard may carry a gun , knife, etc. I know everyone loves their car, but I don't love it enough to die in it. But we're glad you OK.

 

I want to be as safe as i possibly can. SO I have a gun in the engine bay, one in the center compart ment of the cabin, one behind the passenger seat, one in the trunk....one duct taped to the bottom of the car. And ofcourse, I carry my shotgun, and my SLR95 Ak47in the passenger compartment.

I also am 'proactive' when someone gets in my 'personal space' if anyone walk up to my car that isnt authorized ahead of time - i just start firin'! yes, I do not TRY and terminate them initally, until they get within 5 feet of my car. Then, I know they are up to no good. So I take em out, without prejudice.

Dude, you have a f'in Z! Outrun em! It'll be the one time you could drive without a care about the bacon! and get out of it scot free. CHERISH THAT MOMENT MAN! ! Not many of us are going to have that kind of day! Dont spend it firing bb guns at him!

If the guy had a weapon then give up the car!! But he didn't and for being so stupid, BEAT HIS @$$!!! I would have kicked his @$$ and kidnapped him!!! Put a shock collar on him and made him clean my room, wash clothes, wash my car, do yard work ect... Hahaha I would just have a man slave!!
As for weapons I have a pocket knife in the glove box... but I would have to kindly ask the car jacker to sit up so I could get it out!! I think better move it, I will put it where the navi should be!!!

I dont know if any of you guys remember my post a few months ago where a guy in a bike ramed my car and began punching my girls window trying to break it. Luckily I had my doors locked and then I reached for my magnum and you know the rest bang bang.........

Well not really I reached for my mag-lite but it was too late the F***ER ran off. I also live in SoCal in Chino pretty nice area if you ask me.

 

You should also carry a poster board sign and some tape on board. You could write something like "Free Sodomy" on the sign, then drape him over a garbage can and tape it to his back and leave him there. Just a thought...

I had a similar experience years ago in Chicago. I had a friend in the car and I was driving my '88 Firebird Formula. My window was open and we were the only car at a stoplight (it was late on a weeknight, we had just gone to a concert at the Vic Theater). A black dude came out of nowhere and reached for my door handle. The door was locked and next thing I knew he grabbed my shirt with his left hand, tugged hard, and said "get the f#$% out of the car!!". I had my elbow resting on the window sill so I reached up, latched onto his jacket collar and yanked his head to the window at which point he let go of me and I punched him square in the face with my right hand. He was disoriented and my buddy grabbed his arm which was now flailing and reaching to hold onto the steering wheel as I was hanging onto him. I was severely pissed off and running on adrenaline at this point so I kept pulling him into the window and my friend followed and started pulling as well. We weren't really sure what we were doing at this point I suppose, in that situation you aren't really thinking clearly to make decisions. I guess my plan subconsciously was to beat the ever loving pi$$ out of him inside the car, or to at least knock him a bit more senseless then get out and finish the job. We got him into my window up to about his mid chest and he was struggling quite a bit. Not wanting him to escape, I floored the car (it was auto) and we took off with him hanging out of the window and his legs dragging. I got up to about 35mph and we were headed for parked cars at this point as I couldn't steer. I let go of his jacket to grab the wheel and my buddy couldn't hold him alone so the guy dumped back out the window and went rolling across the pavement. He was crawling and trying to get up when we looked back so I figured he was alive at least. In retrospect, it's a good thing that happened the way it did. He got injured for his efforts and we didn't kill anyone that night, or get hurt ourselves aside from a sore hand for me.
