Well, heres the story....
nearly a year ago, I had purchased (before I started here at performance nissan), a titanium JIC exhaust. Isntalled it, and had issues with it rattling. The resonator was defective, and it took a while but i got a new exhaust in. Ended up selling it before i re-installed the exhaust.
I've been runing the injen ever since, and although the injen SES is nice, i needed lightweight, so i decided to try the JIC again.
Got another JIC exhaust, similar issues. I guess that the resonator only on the 350Z exhaust (only on the single exit not dual) has issues because it's a dual wall design, and that the inner wall ends up rattling on the outter wall of the piping, causing the noise. So I called Jeff down at JIC, and he told me to go down there.
While I was there, their master fabricator/manager (who is the driver/owner of their drift 350Z), ended up custom fabricating a whole new system using my pipe, no-resonator, and a different muffler unit that was larger to muffle the noise.
By the end of the night, the thing looked tight, and sounded great. They took care of me BIG-TIME, and i really thank them for that.
I know that some people say their customer service isn't that great, even i used to think so somewhat. But they will take care of you, they really show their pride in their work, and really go out of their way to make a customer happy. Sometimes it takes a little while with parts coming from japan and all, but thing work themselves out usually....
And incase anyone is interested, we may have some of JIC's cars on display here at our showroom at the dealership coming soon. Including S15, S14, and maybe R32.
