Average fuel mileage?
Im not a 350Z but for comparisons sake.. I averaged 26mpg from Des Moines, IA to Fort Cambell, KY...
Of course my 1hr 45min trip back from Des Moines to Moline, IL isn't added into that equation at all

For more info on my trip:
332 miles. Average speed 61mph. Average MPG 31.4
Top speed reached 141.
Drove on the good straightaways at 80 or more. Did Wolf Creek Pass averaging 65-70. Forgot to shut off the car for about 5 minutes after getting caught at a blasting area (biggest reason for lower average speed).
I can really see this car getting high 20s and low 30s on nice long trips.

I live about 1 1/2 miles from my office, three traffic lights, 35 to 45 mph speed limit. I usually come home for lunch. I'm averaging out at about 18 to 20 mpg over all. If I don't take any trips, just back and forth to work, about 16 mpg. I traded in a PT Cruiser for my Z, had it for 2 years. Overall my Z gets better gas mileage, around town and on the Hiway. On the hiway my Z gets between 24 and 26 mpg under normal driving. If I baby it, 27 to 28 mpg. The best I ever got in the PT Cruiser was 27 mpg, that was a clear shot on the interstate at about 70 mph. The PT Cruiser over all average was about 19 mpg. I kept records of ever fill-up.
The Z and the PT Cruiser weigh just about the same. A 150 hp I4 and a 287 hp V6 . . . go figure?
Zonny . . . Touring, Lemans Sunset, 6 mt, all opts. except aero

Hey at least you guys are gettin better mileage then my 95 5.0 stang.....I get 15 mpg avg...mostly city but when i get on the highway for long trips whoe what a difference...the needle goes down like the hands of a clock...un-noticible.
I'm gonna purchase a Z in the summer I hope. Anyone have comparisons vs. a mustang 5.0 in terms of torque and fun?

My daily drive is all on streets (95%) and occasional Hwy driving to lunch (5%).
Leasure shifts at 3500 - 3800 RPM yields 19 - 20 MPG. I was getting 16 - 17 MPG at breakin period and before the Mobil 1 in the motor and Redlines in the 6MT and Diff.
Enthusiastic driving, (majority of the time) shifting at 4000 - 4700 RPM yield 15 - 17 MPG.
My AT 2000 Maxima gets about 17 - 19 MPG on street driving and about 25 MPG on the Hwy.

my old 95GT 5.0 making close to 300 rwhp sucked gas like crazy....my 03 Cobra does a LOT better and it makes more hp/tq....go figure.
With the 03, 70 mile round trip commute...going anywhere between 75-85 mph with some city driving...during the week I see between 22-23 mpg....weekend...ugh...I don't even want to think about it....it sees a lot of boost time then
I am just at 500 milles mark so I am about mid way through the break in period.
But I am getting 19.8 or so. But I was wondering how people can get above 22 mpg.
I do alot of rush hour driving. Which isn't that bad but yes there is alot of stop and go. Any suggestions? I actually am getting through my second full tank.
So happy with this car its unbelivable.

Trix, I personally found that my mileage got better the longer I drove it through break-in. I was around 15-16 on the first tank, around 18 the 2nd. Rush hour driving too. I haven't checked recently but it's consistently been 21-22 for awhile and I'm at 1600 miles.
During break-in I too averaged about 18-19 mpg, but now I'm averaging around 21 with mixed (city/highway) driving. Whenever I look at the trip, I start missing my RSX Type-S...31 mpg!!

interstate drivin i get around 29
how do i get those numbers..i use my 6th gear alot
I use to work 30 miles away, mostly freeway, some traffic, during few few hundred miles of my car, I got 20-22, NOW I work 7 miles away, ALL city, MANY lights, 1200 miles on car, getting about 15 MPG.
From Nashville to Chicago. What a freaking gas tank, never had to stop... I loved it.
I flew into Nashville, bought the car, and drove up to Chicago for business. That is in a Base model (no cruise control).
Not bad...
