Default AT Owners...High Revving Experience?

To all AT owners:

Are you experiencing high revving at low speedsin auto mode? For instance, going from 0-30 mph and your rpm goes up to about 2.5-3.5. Is this normal?

What are your thoughts on the gear transition? Is it smooth or is there a lag between gears?

Default yes normal

I've noticed the shift point seem to be linear with the position of the throttle. Putting it to the floor will result in red line shifts.
Half throttle will put you in the 3K range. I think the throttle position is sampled and the tranny shifts accordlingly.

Regarding transition, seem very smooth all the time. However higher rpm's seem to have less lag in manual shift mode.

It's easily the best auto tranny I've ever driven.

In auto mode the RPM rage sounds about right. What you may be experiencing is the exhaust sound. It tends to have a semi-aggressive note at low RPM, which can lead you to believe you are at a higher RPM. The manual mode does shift very quickly, but I do wish it didn’t have that slight lag.

Thanks everyone for your input. I guess it's normal then.
