Is it true that the 350z is a bit faster (and a bit faster i mean noticeably faster) than the G35? I have heard this somewhere and it kind of makes sense.

Its true......same horsepower but the Z has advantages in:

Weight - The Z is typically 200 lbs lighter
Shorter wheelbase - better weight transfer
Lighter drivetrain - shorter and lighter driveshaft (which is carbon fiber by the way)
Stiffer body - just the shape, compactness and especially the strut bars do a lot to make the Z "tighter" feeling than the G

By the way, I can vouch personally for all of this since I had a G35 coupe first before I got my Z. The Z is a LOT more fun to drive, but the G is classy and much more forgiving.

Carbon fiber driveshaft and lighter weight Z means the edge is to the Z.

BTW I'm a G owner.

from the way they drive the G's when they see a Z, you'd think they were the superior breed!

I think their close enough to be a possible drivers race, with the edge going to the Z.
