Default Seatbelt Slapping

Is anyone else having an issue with the passenger side seatbelt slapping the side pillar?

Everytime I drive, I hear the clanking of the metal seatbelt against the plastic of the pillar. It's making me crazy.

There should be a clip to rest it in that "prevents" the noise.

You'd think that they'd have thought of that after driving the car around one corner............

Don't remember that happening on any of my other cars/trucks. Not that it didn't, I was probably not as focused on them as I am on the Z.

I have only one solution: Radio Volume.

No, I'm saying my car has that. Maybe they added that afterward. My VIN is in the 5000's.

Must have....I just went and double checked. Mine doesn't have it. It must be mounted to the pillar to avoid the side airbags, right?

Does no one read the owners manual or do a search before posting anymore?

The post was a rant at not just this post but too many that people just seem to post without any research. How many times has this come up? Rehashing the same topics over and over...........

I understand your frustration on this matter but I actually did a few searches here. Nothing was found. Now, the thread I started is the only one showing up in one search and the top ranked thread after searching "Seatbelt".

I've been a member of numerous forums and have had the same annoyances from others not doing a simple search. Also, when people use an attention getting subject line such as: "CHECK THIS OUT", "Help" or anything else vague.

As far as reading the manual...did it. Don't remember seeing that in there.

Again, sorry for the waste of time but in the future, it's probably best if we don't have an answer or anything to lead to an answer, not to post at the risk of elevating blood pressures.

D.D.

pain in the *** for a person to get in...

tho its a real problem getting people to reattach it when they leave. so you end up reaching over at a stop light to do it. but its there, and it does its job... so I cant really complain.

Just in case some people haven't figured it out, there IS a clip which holds the seatbelt against the side of the car. There is no equivalent for the driver, so it's a big encouragement for all of you out there who don't wear your belts.

Cool

Comfortable solution --

Bought 2 sheepskin seat belt pads about nine inches long.

No more noise, AND easier on the neck and shoulders.

For those of you using the clip, I seem to remember that it doesn't look very strong. How's it holding up?

ummm well... what are you planning on doing to it? the clip lets the seatbelt go if you pull foward to use the belt... I guess if you had complete disregaurd for it, you could pull straight out and bend it... but if a person is that immature, they shouldnt be in the car.
