Default A summary of what has been goin on here for the Past couple a weeks

Week 1.....

Hey everyone, im 18 years old and I want to buy a Z. Does anyone know of any secret knowledge that I can use to get a Z? How can a person my age buy a Z? I really really want this Z, im putting in extra hours at the local Dominos so i can put 2k down on an 05 touring with leather. But i need to know if there is some secret way i can afford a Z. Is there some type of payment plan i can work out with nissan, so while im doing my deliveries in the Z, i can pay them like 100 buks a month or something?? Help, i really really really really want a Z and i need you guys to tell me all the possible financial plans a guy my age can devise in order to buy a Z.

Week 2.....

Hi everyone, im 18 years old and Im looking into the purchase of a brand new 350z. Im going to be paying for the car MYSELF, thats right, myself, and i have 15k dollars right now for a Down payment, and im going to make another 15k in the next 2 weeks, so ill be able to pay off the car. Is this a wise decision as i wont be able to go to college now becauase i will be spending all my money on the Z, but im in love with the car so I think that i am making the best decision possible here. Everyone has been telling me otherwise, but i feel like having this Z will complete my life and Ill be truly happy with it. Im really just following my heart, thats what my mom told me to do yesterday. Does anyone think i should be getting something else, i mean, the Z is a hot car, and since im going to be paying for it myself, i mean, i think that will make the Z like 1000000000 million hundred times better, cuz u know, i mean, ill be like buying it myself which is like, really mature and cool and respectable ya know.

Week 3.....

Hey everyone, well, Im 18 years old and i really want to buy a Z. Im going to be paying for it MYSELF, yeah, thats right, u all heard me, no spoiled brat here, im payin for this sweet ride myself, cuz i believe "IF u earn it, you deserve it!". ANyhow, ive been looking through the forums the last couple of weeks, and ive seen about a hundred threads on "tire feathering". After NOT READING any of them, im still confused about this. I have a couple of questoins.

1. What is feathering?
2. Is the Z worth getting, what if i get one that has feathering?
3. What is feathering?
4. Is featheing bad, can I fix it, Is Nissan at fault?
5. What is feathering?
6. Who here has feathering?
7. What is feathering?
8. If i buy a Z, what is the approximate probability (rounded to the nearest 1000th is fine) I will have feathering?..
9. What is feathering?

Thanx and any help would be great cuz theres like 100000000 threads on this, but i dont want to read any of them and id rather waste server space, get told to do a search, and start my own.

Week 4.....

Well im 18 years old and I just bought my own Z. Thats right, I payed for it MYSELF, im not a spoiled kid whos parents bought him his own Z, but a true man, capable of slaving my life away to make enough money to afford the Z, which should mean everyone on this forum should be proud of me, give me the respect I deserve, and a cookie cuz im mature cuz i bought this Z myself, how many of you can say that? Ya, Im also going to put a TT kit on it so it can be really fast, but im buying the turbo kit myself. Id like to know how many people on here bought their own Z, cuz I bought my own, and its totally rad, and you guys should all bown down and pay homage to my great ability to buy my own Z. I bought a stick too, cuz only men drive sticks, anyone who has an automatic is a woman, because having a stick Z that you pay for Yourself, is how a real man does it. Thanx.

Will we see a change, only time will tell....

BrYan,
Very True!! I am sick of those threads too. I thought it would get old, but I saw another one this morning.
I have only been here a month, but realize we may need a subforum for those kind of posts.

At least the general forum fares better than the one on G35Driver

and yet this is as spammy as each of the rest. Unfortunately, complaining about this crap isn`t going to make it go away. If it really bothers you that much, then just ignore them I guess.

You forgot to note in one of your examples that the kids who did buy it themselves always manage to let it slip that they still live with their parents. At least one kid in the last couple weeks made the right decision to wait and to save for a house instead. Anyway I still know 40 year olds that live with their parents and make the same mistake. I think those are worse than the 18 yr olds that do it because they should have learned by now

in general .. the general forum has fallen apart .. but I spend most all my time in the FI forum .. where info is getting very good and in my lil' San Diego chat room thread aka the SD gtg thread.

LOL, u always get someone in these types of posts who thinks theyre all tricky and posts a philisophical post explaining to everyone else that this post is just as bad as the rest. Your not clever, your not the only that can think on this level, everyone else knows that posting such a post would be retarded, so please just get over it.

Otherwise, dangit i forgot the best color and living with the parents. O well. I tried.

What about people who go on and on about how they pay for everything themself, and when you ask what they do for a living, its "oh i do such and such for my parents company..."

Bryan,

Damn it, you got too much time on your hands to have attempted typing all that up.

Made me laugh though, nice one.

LOL, yeah i know, i have my schedule set up this quarter where i only have class Tuesday, Wednesday, and THursday. So i have alot of free time to say the least.

I think the reason its fun to make fun of these threads is that theyll never stop, thats the nature of the message board, so that being accepted, we might as well have some enjoyment poking fun at them every so often.

PS. I have yet to see a forum with a section dedicated to these kinds of questions. I would like to see new members be required by some type of lock or restriction on their power to only be able to post in a dedicated section of the forum for their first 50 posts. So they can spam it up there before they get on the real forum.

The bad part about these threads is that I remember being that age and wanting a sports car so bad that all of the "it's a bad decision" advice in the world wouldn't have mattered, so I know how they feel. The difference is that back then, the internet wasn't around for me to make a fool of myself across the entire planet all at one time. I guess the benefits of technology are a double-edged sword in weird ways.
