Default Any 05 owners get a call from nissan about a survey?

I got a call from the dealership I bought my car from and they wanted to know if I would participate in a survey that their engineers were doing.. all I had to do was go to the dealership and let them download something off of my car. She said it would take no more than 15 minutes and they would compensate me $100 for my time.

Anyone else get a call like this?

Nope, haven't gotten anything. It would be interesting to find out though.

Get it in writting what they are using it for and what they can/can't do as a result of this survey.

Hmm, they could only be looking for data the ECU logs I would think... perhaps driving habits, rpm, speed, etc...? Why wouldn't they just do this in stealth fashion when people bring in the car for oil changes ,etc...

When I got the call they didn't ask me to download anything from the ECU.. They asked me to participate in a Nissan usergroup session for $100.. I was busy that night so I had to blow them off...

$100 ain't bad at all. I'd do it as long as they told me what they were trying to accomplish.

They wanted to know about my sales and ownership experience after one year.. They said I checked "it's ok to contact me" on my sales feedback form and they were looking for a certain profile of Nissan owner..
