Default Happy Ending (not talking about those massage parlors)

So I order my chrome silver enthusiast back in July. In anticipation for October delivery date, I sell my 98 Maxima mid-September. October comes around, my dealer tells me November. November arrives and my dealer says December. So I am pissed off and seeing all my fellow forum members pics ain't helping me out either. So my dealer pulls through and cuts a deal with a dealership in Connecticut to trade a black touring for a chrome enthusiast they have so I can get my car already. The deal is made and my salesman has the black touring driven up to Connecticut- well, what happens next?- this ******* dealership in CT sells the car out from under our nose. My dealer felt horrible, apologizes to me, and has to bring the Black touring back home (with almost 400 miles on it). So he calls me today to tell me it was in the showroom- I went only to see the interior so I could match leather swatches with the inside for my future two tone custom job on the chrome silver enthusiaist. Well, let me tell you.... I think fate made that car turn around and come back to New York.

There she was in the showroom- Black, burnt leather interior, touring model, 6 speed manual- I fell in love! This combo is lethal and blows away the Chrome silver that I loved so much and have been waiting so long to get. The Manager was able to show me a Chrome silver in the back to help me make up my mind. I couldn't even look at it after the Black beauty- just wanted to get back in the showroom to stare at her more.

Whoever said that Black takes away the lines of the car must have never seen it in person- if anything it enhances it. It is so damn classy looking and makes it look like a pricier automobile. The contrast of the burnt orange interior to the black and the way it balances out the orange of the lights and reflectors is incredible

To all my Chrome peeps out there- I'm not selling out, its still a beauty. But this is an unbiased opinion from someone who only wanted/loved chrome silver- Black takes the cake- especially with the burnt orange leather.

Bottom line- although this car is about $4000 more than I was going to spend- there is no way in hell after seeing it in person I couldn't buy it. Tommorrow I will be going back to the dealer to pay for it- let someone else take the Chrome Enthusiast, I won't be missing it

Finally, the saga ends- and a happy one at that

by the way- finally saw LeMans- not a big fan- liked it in pictures but not in person. Hope I don't offend anyone, just a personal opinion (sure there are people who don't like black out there). But I do commend you on its uniqueness, forget about seeing other Z's in that color, you won't even see other cars on the road in that color-

give it approx. 5 days then youll look at it and say, thats the dirtiest car Ive ever seen.

I give mine a weekly wash and wax, and couldnt imagine going any longer. I actually havent gotten a chance to this last weekend and it is actually looking like a custom black and brown paintjob.

but when you finish waxing you stand back and drool at its magnificance.

Black is GORGEOUS, but only at the dealer where it stays clean. Once you bring it home and drive it around it looks like crap cause all the dirt and dust on it really stick out. You gotta wipe it down every other day to keep it looking decent. Speaking from experience, Black Pathfinder (biggest color mistake), although really tight once clean.
