I have an 05' Z Automatic with 700 miles, no feathering problems yet. Can't wait to hit 1200 miles to really drive this car the way it was meant to be driven.

This really shouldn't be a problem. Two or three parts of the suspension were changed out in the 05's so hopefully the problem is fixed.

I have close to 2000 miles on my 05 with no signs AT ALL of uneven wear of the fronts. I have been told that an 03 and 05 front suspensions / parts, when compared side to side, are slightly different, like a few others have mentioned!

HMM... the road seem louder..i think u should pay really cloes attention the next few thousands miles to see what'll happen

as far as new suspension setup in 05. The dealership told me this would get rid of the feathering problem but i think i would believe a conartist's words anyday over what dealership tells me

The easiest way to find out if Nissan revised the front suspension is to go to your local nissan dealership and compare the part numbers for an 03 to 05 front suspension.

yes 05 suspension parts were revised but the point is that if the tire feathering problems was ever fixed with the revised suspension.

Do a search. But I know one piece was the front spindle that was revised. I think there are one or two more pieces that were changed.

just clock 11K on my 05 yesterday and no sign of Feathering yet. However, clicking noise in the rear when accelarate or backup happen around 8K. So expect that.

I was at the dealership yesterday for the 7500 mile service. I got into a discussion with one of the mechanics who was on break. I brought up the feathereing issue and he said that among the service guys, it was believed that the problem was tires, not suspension setting. He said that he had taken an brand new set of 18" 350 Z take-off wheels and tires and put them on his personal 300zx. He said that within 5,000 miles, they had begun to cup badly, just like on the 350's. He believes that they (Nissan) don't want to switch tires as a solution because they would be forced to replace all four tires on the car.

6000+ 05, no tire problems, just a slight pull to the right, that alot of 05's seem to be having.

The stock tires suck and hate the stock wheels in a major way and the handling a little more tight/straight, so we are going the nismo route, s-tune susp and lmgt4's. hey couldnt hurt right? cept mabey in the wallet

I had 6,600 miles on my stock tires and they had plenty of treads left. I have new Eagle F1's (same OEM size for 17" rims) with roughly 1200 miles on them and no problems at all.
