Red face Deposit Refound.....problems???

I had a $1000 deposit on an Enthusi (for del Mid-December). Found the same color Black performance somewhere else & bought it, of course. Now the first dealer is hesitant about my $1000. Now I have to talk to his manager about the refound????? wtf? Anyone have problems getting their $$$ back after backing out of an order??? Or if someone wants to take the deposit for a black Enthusiast 6spd with Aero @ MSRP....

I need help, I want my $$$ back. Im gonna call the manager today to see if I can get my $$$ back

If they sell the car you didn't buy, I think they are obliged to give back your deposit.

There was another guy who put three grand down on a Z, and did the same thing you did. You should get your money back since you did buy the car, just from a different dealer. If memory serves, that other guy did get his dough back, but it took a little effort.

1. Evanston is located in Illinois, Correct?

2. According to Illinois law, stated at http://www.legis.state.il.us

You legally are entitled to your refund. Maybe your age allowed them to take advantage of you. Hopefully, you didn't sign anything that would make this null and void. Good Luck.

Call Nissan at the 800 # ......you can get it on their website........put complaint in writing thru e-mail on website.............I had to write many letters and many phone calls..also many faxes..I was going to go to the dealership with a big sign saying "I got ripped off here" and tell everyone my story that passed by....I got my deposit back and didnt have to do that..........but I would have..............Also the salesman never signed the contract..i bought the Z anyway from another Dealer....
The first Dealer was charging thousands over the MSRP and I got mad.......................
