Default Spilled soda all over Z, help!

I spilled nearly an entire can of Mountain Dew in the passenger side of my Z this morning, and it is all over the door and the seat. Is this going to stain my seat (cloth)? What do you guys recommend to clean it? It got in the cracks and the seat plastic and everything. I think I might have to change my personal plate to "stickyZ" soon. ARRrrg!

No, it will not stain. It will make everything sticky though. You're going to want to clean all the upholstry with a good cleaner. Just about any upholstry cleaner will work. It's just to remove the stick.

I hope you learned a lesson. I NEVER allow any food or drink in my Z.

While it's still wet, I would get a damp cloth and dab at it. That'll decrease the stickiness once it dries.

As for the door....that damn thing is made of alien materials as far as I'm concerned. I'd just wet it down with water as well. ::shrugs::

I had a big gulp in the cup holder from 7-11, I forgot about it and made a hard turn it spilled all over the center, and some got on the radio buttons. Now when I try to press that big Audio button for bass, you have to push it hard because its all sticky in there. Lesson learned.

Get a q-tip with some water on it to clean behind the button. If you can fit it in there.

Use Seltzer, or any other carbonated water on the seat or any other cloth material that has soda on it. Try to wipe up all the soda while its still wet, and then soak everything completely with seltzer and then wipe it up again. That goes for anything even if you spilled ketchup, carbonated water will take it out.

The wife spilled a coke about 2 minutes after we drove off from the dealer when we picked up the car. We purchased the Protector Inviroment Plan as an option.
They sprayed some chemical in the interior fabric of the car and this coke just beaded up it did not penetrate the surface, we were able to soak it up but I did go back to the dealer and they used a vaccum cleaner and water and then a hairdryer or something like it and they resprayed that Protector stuff again. Now every time the wife decides to drink in the car I always remind her of the 1st thing she did in the Z.

That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. I've spilled lots of crap on my carbon cloth seats before. For soda, use carbonated water mixed with a couple of drops of dishwashing detergent and scrub with a towel/rag. And Voila, stickiness gone.

Haha Monk, that's a great nickname. But there's no way I could NOT eat/drink in the car. What if you go to a restaurant and you still have almost a full drink left. Do you....

A. Throw away the drink and get in the car.
B. Finish your drink first, then get in the car.
C. Finish your drink IN the car.

C seems like the most obvious choice.
