G35 being the most glaring example of shared parts with the Z. In fact, if it wasn't for the G35 and the other platforms sharing parts with the Z, it probably wouldn't be in production today. Low production numbers is what killed the Z back in 1996.

At least the Z had it first. Makes me like it more. Thanks.

Oh well.
Addition: I've owned American cars for the last 35 years. I'm switching, have switched, I think the Nissan is a very well designed car. Time will tell if problems like the US cars occur. Hope not.
Personaly I hope the US catches up.

If you want to compare quality, in general, cars made in Japan still have better quality than the ones assembled in US. US ones are getting better, but still not caught up yet. This applies to more than just Nissan. Over the years, I have cars that came from Japan, and some were made in US with Japanses names (Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsu/Eagle). The ones made in US had more small problems when they are older - after warranty ran out. Small means light bulbs in the dash, heating system, electrical, windows, sunroofs, etc. The major components are normally just as good.

Same frame. Most share the same VQ35 as well (3.5 Altima, Maxima, Z, G, Murano, FX35).
