Oh well.
Addition: I've owned American cars for the last 35 years. I'm switching, have switched, I think the Nissan is a very well designed car. Time will tell if problems like the US cars occur. Hope not.
Personaly I hope the US catches up.

If you want to compare quality, in general, cars made in Japan still have better quality than the ones assembled in US. US ones are getting better, but still not caught up yet. This applies to more than just Nissan. Over the years, I have cars that came from Japan, and some were made in US with Japanses names (Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsu/Eagle). The ones made in US had more small problems when they are older - after warranty ran out. Small means light bulbs in the dash, heating system, electrical, windows, sunroofs, etc. The major components are normally just as good.
