Any one get a clanking noise when they sit down in the drivers seat???

Default Any one get a clanking noise when they sit down in the drivers seat???

after about 4 weeks of use every time i sit down into the drivers seat i hear a clank or something, sounds like two pieces of metal hitting softly. any ideas of what it could be, seat moves forward n **** fine but idunno

i do sounds likes its coming from the suspension behind me not quite sure what it is

there is a tsb out about it. it has something to do with a washer or something under the seat. alot of people have fixed it on here. do a search

I believe the TSB is for the seat moving slightly laterally (side to side) just a hair when turning. But it could be related.

IF YOU CONFIRM: When tuning left or right, · The driver's seat makes a "click" noise, and/or · The driver's seat moves side to side (left or right),

ACTION: · Install special washers between the seat thigh support adjuster and the sliding and reclining device-inner and outer (see Figure 1). See this bulletin for further detail.

Yeah I have taken mine in TWICE for this TSB and they cant fix it. Look for the thread that shows how to fix it yourself using a cotter pin. I intend to do this myself.

Yeah I gave up on this....I always take my foot off the break when I shift myself out of the car...so I thought it was the pedal squeeking......DOH

Glad to see that I am just another statistic when it somes to the little problems....sucks to be the only one!
