Default emblem on side of my z

hello everybody,

these are two pictures of my z i bought 2003. On one of the pictures you can see my engine and it has been modified(AEM). And on the other picture you see the side of my z and some numbers and characters(right under the z emblem).

I am new to cars. I dont know much. Especially of those characters and the number 20. As far as the mod in the engine i did a little research and know as much as it is a CAI AEM which roughly adds about 3-5 hp.

Any help on this?

thanks

First of all, welcome

Not to sound like an a** or anything but why would you put an emblem that you don't know the meaning of? I'd make sure to find out what I means first before putting any emblem or symbol on your car. You might end up putting something that might just make you look stupid to someone who knows what it means. As far as the emblem you currently have now, I think it is commonly put on cars with 20" rims (I could be wrong though but I'm sure I've seen something similar). There's plenty of information you can pick up from this site so I would first find out what kind of questions you would like to know & then do a search using the search feature. If you can't find what you're looking for, you can post it under the corresponding section & there will be pleanty of members that will provide their feedback/knowledge.

I think he bought the car used with the intake and emblem already on there.

xtos, I'd leave the intake, but I would definitely remove that emblem.

Thank you, yes i did buy the car used, it is a 2003 and bought it a week ago with 14000 miles on it. sorry for not mentioning it previously. and thank you for the responses all. I love this web site there are plenty of info which i learned more about the AEM air intake i have which i didnt even know it was modified. Regardless i searched for the emblem but didnt find anything about it, and yes thats why i posted this question here because i felt stupid when my friends asked me what it meant...now i think i know what it is...20 inch rims..is that so?

thank, you are all very responsive

I have no idea why any would put that on. Maybe it's to ensure that everyone knows they're riding on 20's (if that isn't obvious already just by looking at it). I guess it's just another accessory to get that "bling" factor .

I'm trying to figure out what type of person puts 20" Dub Emblems on their car. I know taste is subjective and one shouldn't judge, but... I can't help it. That's SO freakin' dumb! Whew.

Rip that crap off ASAP. CAI AEM was good though.

bust out the fishing line and the hair dryer... heat up the emblem and then use the fishing line in a sawing motion behind the "chrome" to cut it from the tape. It may leave some of the black tape behind but once its heated you can easily peal it off.

If I seen that on a Z in a parking lot I would very happily remove that emblem and place it on the nearest Escalade

fishing line??
i'd start with dental floss first.
only if that doesn't work, then use a fine fishing line.
