10" Subwoofer Replacement.
I know this has been discussed before but I never found a concrete answer. I want to replace the Stock 10" Subwoofer (BOSE) for another 10" subwoofer more powerful.
Question: Do I need to replace/Add/ anything else? I mean yeah Buy another 10" Subwoofer but what else? Can I remove the stock Sub and put a more powerful one and thats it?
Cliff Notes: Wanna replace Stock 10" Sub behind the seat but I dont want to add an amp. Is it possible?
Help.
Thanks a lot.

You have to replace the whole Bose system. Bose speakers run at a very low ohm rating. In order to get any volume you have to replace the whole Bose system. I'm sure you could wire in an after-market amp to the speaker output from the Bose amp but you might be able to match the gain. It would sound like hell.
Rip out the Bose system and go with all new amps, head unit and speakers.
