Default Used Z

I am in the market for a used Z. I have been browsing online but haven't contacted any dealerships.

For those that purchased their Z used, how much money were you able to knock off the advertised price?

Thanks!

look up the trade in value for the car your interested in... that will give you idea of how much they paid for it... if your paying KBB dealer retail for used your paying too much. The most I would pay is KBB private party in excellent shape (from a dealer that is I would never pay that much from private party).

I paid right in the middle off the KBB for private party in good and in excellent from a dealership and people on this forum have told me I got ripped off so maybe others have better advice.

Sounds good. Most Enth. Z's are in the neighborhod of 25,000- I am looking to spend no more tha $22,000 OTD. Hopefully I can pull it off.

Anyone else?

You can definately get an 03 enthusiast for that price. You may want to try an 04 to avoid feathering issues.

I just picked up an '03 Touring for 23,700. Asking price was way higher (closer to 30). My advice would be to start through internet channels and then work them down from there. They usually offer better prices online, then just beat them up on the price

That's exactly what I am doing right now. I might have to trave a few hundred miles but if it saves me money it's worth the time spent.

I am working on a deal right now it's and 03 touring, $21700, only problem right now is they won't give me what I want for my trade. this has been going on for a week and I am about to pull my hair out. I am tempted to go to other dealerships and test drive Zs just to drive one again.

Not sure if you guys have a CarMax in Texas but they usually pay more than any other used car stealership.

But you miss the tax advantage if you sell to one dealer and buy from another. It will be kind of hard to get a 04 enthu for 22k OTD unless it has a load of miles. I think carmax is paying about 21k for the 04's (don't even want to know how much they are selling them for... carmax has horriable prices).
