Cool

I totally understand and respect the concept and reasoning for carbon fiber hoods, but they just don't do it for me asthetically. To me it looks like you got a new hood from the junkyard and don't have enough money to get it painted!

Should be interesting to see how many people actually get this.

CF hoods look cool to me. If I bought one, I would get it painted eventually, just not right away.

Damn, VQ. I think you're the one who finds EVERYTHING for this car!

Not a CF hood fan, especially since we'll already have aluminum, but I'm sure several other people with like it.

Keep up the good work!

You're looking at a 1 to 2lb savings with the Z. Something like 5 vs 9 or 9 vs 13.. something odd like that. It's only for looks when it comes to that point. However, it's a viable option if you are talking about a Steel hood.... they weigh a ton!!

i like how on the debut of thier product dspeed screws up the naming on the part
and labels it as for a z32
check it out

other than that i like cf hoods.. but i really really wish they'd give us an inverted duct like on the others. i really like the look of the vanes going down into the engine bay

It just looks too "look-at-me-raceboy-image" for me. I'm all for saving weight, but can these things be painted to match the rest of the car?

Some of you need to get off looks and focus on function--and yes, CF hoods can be painted.

OK function; how much weight does it save over our already lightweight aluminum hoods?

S13/S14/S15 Hood: 89000 JPY = $724 USD

Looks like all of those listed are the same price.

well I got black, so who needs paint, tho it will still stand out since its flat black I think.

but none the less. at this point I get WAY better places to spend 600$ than on 5lbs of weight savings. Ill take a crap before racing for free.

dude, when I start seeing CF hoods on 911s, 360s and diablos, I will pay more attention, but as long as I keep seeing them on civics with 100lbs of extra unmatched body kits and wings, I will pass (in other words it is ALL about the LOOK and not the purpose).

NO THANX

350GT-R are you serious?? There are more C/F hoods made for your Silvia than any other car. Shipping in no joke for hoods .

Actually, I was looking for a jdm C/F hood that might have three or four vents on top to keep my motor running cool. But since I can't find one, I decided to go for a regular jdm vented C/F hood But the problem is that here in Miami we sometimes get $hity weather so I need one that has the vent somewhere B/W the radiator and the motor. I would just hate to have water in the engine bay and getting suck up by the filter causing Hydro-lock.
