Not sure if anyone else thought about this part...

His mother should be arrested for receiving stolen goods. It was her car he was driving, and I'm sorry, but you just don't drive a car and not notice your rims have changed. She had to have known he put the rims on there, which means she had to have questioned where they came from.

Poor parenting, IMO... how do you look at your young child and NOT ask where all of their money is coming from. McDonald's doesn't pay THAT much...

What is your "R-1"? Im moving to S. Fla... and i dont want to have anziety about my car. I dont have any aftermarket electronics in my car... the only mods I have are external (wheels, grill, antenna...). the only thing worthwhile to steal on my car is the wheels (which have locks on them). should I be worried? Is it worth getting an aftermarket alarm system?

I would say it doesn hurt to have an alarm an make sure no one is going to do anything to your car. but I think it realy depends mostly on where you are going to be parking your car. In my case I dont have an alarm and nothing has happened to my car (knock on wood). If ypu know you are going to garage your car mostly, and park it in common public places where people are constanly walking by during the day, you should be fine without alarm.

Havent you seen stats about Miami/Ft Lauderdale ? - We beat New Jersey for most stolen cars. Dude it doesnt really matter where you live - you just have to take caution and oh dont put your stuff on blast as to your car, location etc

BTW I lived in a gated community when my car got jacked in 98...like I said - doesnt matter !!!!!

Well glad to hear everything ended up all rosy for ya. I am actually proud, but only for a nano second to be a long time member of E46 Fanatics. We have alot of very crazy members that shock me that they actually can drive a car let alone a BMW. So dont be so quick to jump on the next BMW thread you see and flame it, or look over at a M3 driver and think he is some uptight yuppie. You would not believe the number of members that carry small arsenals in their cars haha really. Mostly they ARE a bunch of dumd *** rich kids over there that think work is a dirty 4 letter word, but again alot have connections and lots of time to kill. I was shocked to see how fast my *** was slapped down one time when my home address was PM to me , I live in Palm Beach County, so not to far from you and I work in Nuclear Medicine. And yes car theft is crazy as yours and mine insur premiums prove it. I am a member at M3Forum (my home form) and 6speedonline too but those guys are super rich and a little out of my league. They have alot of 20-30 y/o guys that have to decide to take the GT2 or Ferrari 360 CS to school/work today.

Anyway its nice to hear happy endings for nice people, you got good Karma rolling your way. I am a member here but lurk mostly, I have a Infiniti and just got rid of a nice Blk M45 that was just sitting around taking up garage space so I am kinda sorta in y'alls little club here. Oh and next to my ///M I had a 280 ZX that was my first love, damn still miss that thang. Later

Hold on I thought we discussed this. You give the meet spot to me and others willing to make the trek. We arrive baseball bats in hand and make him wish he went to prison. And I thought I had made the plans clear

I love it when a plan comes together... (A-Team theme song playing)

Great to see the my350z community looking out for each other. I'm also happy to hear you were able to get your rims back.
