Rock Chip Problem
This is true for certain products. There are some on the market that require you to treat them to prevent yellowing (according to my installer). I've never had this problem as I've always done 3M material and I keep it waxed and maintained. I have seen cases where the material yellowed and it wasn't pretty. I've also never seen 3M material that yellowed, it was always something else (Lumar? can't recall). This is an interesting read if you are looking to buy a clearbra (need Acrobat Reader):

+1.......the clear bra was my first upgrade and I would recommend the same. An excellent investment in front-end protection and peace of mind.
Installers can select from a number of film manufacturers to use on your car and call it a "clear bra"......shop around....aftr I did my shopping, I asked my installer to use the 3M product. He charged a bit more, but I have been very pleased with it.
