Default Seat heat drains the battery

According to the manual, the seat heat will stay on even if the car is off, does this make sense to anyone? I went for a drive after having the seats on the day before, I thought it was no problem leaving the seat heat button in the on position. But I connected a battery tender and it took quite a while to charge the battery, so I think it must have been drained. I saw a nice Silverstone out last night. While checking it out, I noticed they had both seat heat switches on, one high, one low. I really can't believe that it is wired this way, it seems like everyone will be draining their batteries down with it this way (unless you are lucky enough to live somewhere warm year round).

yes I had the same experience, when the car goes off, the light for the button goes off... and the battery never dies, so I assumed they were wrong. my dealer walked me throught the car and specificly told me this, so I did believe him.

I just dont feel like testing it to find out.

anyone with like a volt meter or something want to tell us if the battery is giving out a current when the car is off and the seat is "on"? I dont want to just leave my seat on for a day or so and see if the car starts.
