Default Did you do the 18,000 miles service?

Nissan seems pretty persistant on getting me to do the 18,000 miles service for my car. I've received two letters in the mail and a phone call reminding me. I don't drive it hard and change my oil every 3,700 miles. Is it absolutely necessary or is it just another money making scheme?

I don't have the book in front of me, but I didn't think there was an 18K mile service (or is that the 18750 service on the severe schedule you are referring to?). What does it entail?

I dont know if its exactly 18kmi. It might be 18,750. I don't know what they do, just wondering if it's necessary

They just change your oil and inspect several things like belts, air filter, etc. It's a marketing thing and unnecessary unless you bought the extended warranty, in which case it’s free.

don't they do the inspection every 7500miles? I'ved got the warranty thing that they do everything for free. so the inspection is on 7500, 15000, 22500 ... the 18K i think is just an oil change

At 18k miles only the oil change has to be done. Also make sure all the fluids are topped off. Air filter needs to be replaced.
