Default Thinking of getting a Z

Ok guys I'm new here and I have an appointment to test drive the 350 this coming Sat. This past weekend I test-drove the G35 coupe. I was really surprise with the handling of the G, so far I like the G. I need to know of any pros and cons of getting the Z over the G. I Currently own a 02 Max but I don't like it.

The difference between the two is highly subjective. Some think the interior of the G35 is better, while others argue they prefer the Z. You've got the same motor, and the same aftermarket mods as far as I know. The G does have "back seats," if you want to call them that. Kinda small, if you ask me. You can also get a sun roof in the G. Infiniti has the better service program IMHO, you get a free loaner, etc.

So go test drive the Z and see what you think. I have a feeling that you'll make up your mind when you drive both and compare dollar for dollar.

Good luck and welcome to our humble little site!

for my subjective opinion, the Z is a more sporty design on a Sports car. the G35 coupe is not, a very nice looking car, but so is the 330Ci and many other cars. but that doesnt make it look like a sports car.

as for handling, it feels heavy, close to 3500lbs I think, and to me it felt every pound of it. if you thought the G felt tight, the Z is twice as tight. acceleration, the G felt strong, mid to low 6sec strong, the Z feels stronger.

all in all, I chose the Z obviously, and I dont regret it at all even after trying the coupe out.

I have one of each on order. But I have to say that IMO the Z is a helluva lot better looking, inside and out.

The back end of the G is rather unattractive and the dash is lame since it's the same dash that lives in the G35 sedan. Nothing special about it all. The Z's dash is much sportier. Also, no big deal, but no aluminum drilled pedals in the G. All in all, the G looks rather uninspiring. I'd be bored of it's looks in two months.

As far as the drive, the Z will only drive better than the G, maybe marginally, but better.

It does have the backseat, thus the reason for my order, but I think I'd rather get a beater car if I need the backseat and enjoy the coolness of the Z when I don't.
