Default Trade my 05 Touring 350z for an 04 350z

Basically i want a 6MT , and i got a 5AT.... so where iam at now is, basically trading my 05 350z for a 04 350z.. has to be DB since my bodykit is DB, and dont want to repaint that... And i found one at a mitsubishi dealership... here is the link to the car, i recently just emailed asking if they were interested in the trade, he said ya, then started going from there. Here is the link to the car
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...rdist=0#vdptop
Iam not exactly sure what model the car is, but obviously isnt touring, track, or performance, guessing its a Enthusiast.... Now my question is.. how much should i ask for the dealership to add, they already said they would, just not sure how much they will add. I dont want to go down there and get lowballed for the add, so what is everyones opinion. My car is an 05 DB Touring 350z 5AT w/ 4,000 miles, great condition, and full coverage warranty.

If you go with an 04 enthusiast you might be able to get away with a straight trade. I really doubt you're going to get anything extra but you can always try. You will always take a big hit trying to sell/trade an almost new car.

BTW, what kit did you get and is it installed yet? Best of luck with your decision.

A straight trade? are you serious? lol the 04 enthusiast value vs the 05 touring is not even a comparison haha. The difference in price wise i think is like 5grand... But iam not sure what the dealership will give me.

Oh and i got the esprit kit, and it should be done from shop today, done with paint and install.

you would be going to a dealership. they a$$ rape people on trade ins. that is where they make a lot of their money.... i would bet the dealer would go straight up, or maybe give you $500

The ad doesn't say Cruise Control... could be a Base? Or they just forgot to list it...?

Looks to be a Base, the steering wheel has no buttons.

I agree that its probably a base model. It looks like it has the rubber gas pedal. Honestly, I hope you can make a good deal but there is no way you will break even overall. If you really want a 6MT you are either going to have to settle for a lesser trim package or a higher mileage vehicle.

Move on from that deal. Keep looking, you'll be able to find what you want.

Is it the lack of cruise control that is keeping you from getting a Base?

If anything, get the 3.5 Final Gear for your car. You'll shave off about .4-.5 seconds off your 1/4 mile time and probably .1-.2 seconds off your 0-60 time.

Armitage: Where do i get that? Site url? How much?

yobri: Not only that.. i dont want a base model.. i would honestly rather have nice leather seats, cruise control, homelynk system on the mirror, and i dont think base model comes with TCS ... Id honestly rather have an 04 touring stick, but i prob wouldnt get anything out of it worth while... id really rather have an 04 or problem free 03 track, but cant find any dealership with DB track, and if i did, would prob be stupid and make me add...

yeah man, thats seriously not worth it. I would just stick with your 5at. Its not that bad, you just gotta make it work for yourself. Good luck with your decision though.

Lol thats true... when i called the dealership to ask if they had any cars that were 04s, and touring or track in DB.. they said they would look around for neighboring dealerships to see as well.... right then i thought of my 350Z,a nd the day i got her... and how sad i would be to trade her....
