Default Do I get an 04' or 05' Z..worried about alignment etc.

So I am still looking for my Z, and after reading HOURS worth of posts about problems with the car...I am DEF. still going to get one, but now im wondering if they have fixed many of the problems in the 05' model. Now I have one I have been looking at...its a 04 Daytona Blue w/black leather touring model 10 miles on the car..my local dealer said that he can get it for me and have it transferred. Since it is an 04 it looks like I can get it for 31k out the door. Now...is it worth spending the extra 5,000 to get an 05? If many of the problems have been worked out...then I would say yes...
--So do I jump on this 04, or wait to find an 05?
--Any diff. in the build quality!?

Since this Z is still available I would think that it is a 04.5 which has the "Euro tune" suspension which is supposed to have all the alignment problems fixed **cross fingures ** That said, I personally think you may be able to get a better deal on a left over 04; however, by now there are not that many 04s left. If you are comfortable with this price, and it is the car you want, not one you are settling for, then I say go for it. Also, you may want to wait a few more months for the 06s to come out and see what kind of deals become available on 05s. Just a thought Either way, good luck!!

I am not sure, I haven't found any good info on that. Last year the 05 base, enthusiast, performance, and touring came out in September I belive (if I am wrong then please someone correct me on that), and then the track and 35th came out Jan 05. If this year is the same then that is what you can expect.

The alignment will always be an issue....You can solve this will springs etc. it worked for my 03 no feathering. So for the $$ I would go 04 and upgrade the suspension.

I think you can get a better price on that 04. You need to go in there and haggle with them.

Better than $31 K out the door (which includes tax & license) for a new Touring model?

I don't think so.
