how much to pay for a new enthusiast?
hey guys,
i'm kinda having problems finding a good used blue auto, so i'm looking at a new one. i got quoted $30,290 for an enthusiast model. thats including freight and all that, but i don think it includes taxes, reg, etc. is this an acceptable price or can i find better? i'm thinking i can find better because that is at least 1k over MSRP, and a good 3k over invoice. my friend bought one and got it for 2k under MSRP. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

ok, i just got quoted $28,093 + tax and license and dest fee from hayward nissan. About $2k cheaper than Fremont Nissan. i'm trying to see who can outbid the other. I believe this is a much more reasonable price. What do u guys think I should do?
You can do better. I got mine for 500 over invoice, and I know some have done better than that. Also, do invoice pricing on Edmunds.com and make them show you the invoice, they have to.
Offer em 400, 500, whatever over invoice, and if they come back with some other number (they will... one dealer came back to me with OVER MSRP).. just walk out.

ok, so i just got offered a price of $27,622 from san leandro nissan, which also includes the $560 destination fee. this is an INTERNET ONLY sales prices. i'm thinking this is a pretty good price. i am going to make the 3 dealerships battle it out until i can get the best price.
Autos cost more, so yes thatsounds like a very good deal. But whether or not you care about options, they do cost money and they do affect the final price. But even without ANY other options I think thats a good price, and any options it does have is just icing on the cake.

hey mike, thats a 6spd and its red. not what im looking for, but thanks.
so now ive had all 3 dealerships battling it out. everytime i get a cheaper quote i go to the others to see if they can beat it. right now it's hayward nissan (closest to me too) winning at $27,500 including dest fee. they gave me a $500 discout for being a college graduate.
very good price.

Tell 'em invoice or no way. But do that in person, not internet. The best deal i got from 15 dealers over the internet was 200 over invoice. The car has some demand, but not enough to justify @ invoice. But +200 over invoice should be ok too, no more than that. Enthusiast model they'll try to screw you by adding in the door sills, carpets, and kick panels. Those aren't worth that much, not to mention carpets should come standard for a car that is 30k >.> The 200 over invoice should cover that.
My otd was 30,545 tax, license, and destination included.
Options on mine were
Aerodynamic's Kit
Splash Guards
Alum. Kick Plate
Floor Mats & Trunk Mats
Side-impact & head curtain airbags
