Its a Rainy day im at a light ready to make a left.. Light turns green i make my left and suddenly i lose out of control..... i start slipping to the left.... i quickly counter steer and i start slippin to the right almost hitting a bus stop... finally get control and im thinking to myself what jus happened??? it felt like i did 3 180's... i assumed my foot slipped and i gassed it while turning causing my z to lose its control.... just wondering if anyone had any similar experiences??
just wanted to give the heads up to new base owners because we do not have the luxury of traction control obviously... drive safely guys and ladies..
do you guys think i need traction control? any suggestions ?

well first of all id try to drive carefully and i almost never slip on the pedals so i should be fine driving in the rain. just take it slow and there wouldnt be nethin to worry about.

jus to let u know i was taking it slow... this rarely ever happens to me jus wanted to warn u guys
omg, let me tell you. Just today I beat the opposite side of traffic to make a left, and my rear went to the left, then right, it was nuts.
if you don't have VDC, BE CAREFUL....if you do, don't be an *** and turn it off like I did.
I've had 2 occasions to lose control of the car, and it was awakening.
Be careful, the car is powerful and at high RPMs its nuts, especially when going slow or turning.
I've also embarrassed myself on both occasions. I took off with my tail between my legs and red as a beet.

When the ground is anything but dry, I give only enough gas to get me going from the stop, let off, turn the corner, and then throttle.
I have kicked out my back end so much that in the back of my mind I am sort of expecting it... especially after the winter!!!! Just go easy on the throttle on corners and you will be fine.

I'm wondering what tires you guys are on (stock or upgraded?) -as when I had stockers, I would slip out on dry roads, let alone wet. New tires fixed that, though you have to be careful with any rear-wheel drive car in the rain I suppose.

That behavior is actually one of the reasons why I bought the car in the first place.
With the weight slightly front biased, it easy to get the rear end loose with minimal front weight transfer. If the fuel tank is near empty, it’s even more fun!
We have to be aware of what’s happening and anticipate available traction. Now, I’m not saying to go flat out when turning, but often a sleight increase in throttle (to barely accelerate) will transfer enough weight to the rear to keep it stable. It’s tough because too much power will break traction and spin you out. Eventually, you will get to know why the car is over steering (too much front weight transfer vs too much power to the rear) and make appropriate corrections (more or less gas).
And look where you want to go, not where the car is headed!
The car requires some attention to drive fast when traction is limited. That’s the fun of driving front engine RWD cars
, I luv it!

As far as the rainy days, start in 2nd, less torque. Although I enjoy the azz out driving style. I concur if you don't respect it it will bite you.

Would an LSD help though on those turns ?
my wheels do slip out sometimes when the road is wet and when i have stock tires but i just let go of the gas pedal and control the car. just take it easy when you're making a turn.
