Default For Those in California (Insurance Q)

I drive the Z Roadster and live in Southern California (Long Beach). I pay $1,750 per year for insurance and I'm in my 40's with a good record. Does anyone pay significantly less than this? What company?

That seems pretty steep Jim. I'm 23, live in Orange County (Stanton to be exact) and pay about $585 for 6 months, full coverage with 21st Century. The reason why mine is probably low is because we have a multi-car/drivers discount. I'm assuming you're probably the only person on your insurance. Or maybe because you're driving a Roadster, I have the coupe by the way. I wish you luck in finding cheaper insurance.

I'm younger than you also, and I pay ~$1200/yr for two vehicles (and I live in a relatively bad area). Get a quote from Wawanesa:

I'm 56 and pay $600 per year, also have my 94 Nissan truck covered with 21st Century. I would try them first if you have a good driving record (no tickets, accidents past 3 years).

Jim it sounds like your insurance is pricey. I pay around 670 for half a year on my roadster and I'm in my late 20's. I have a clean record and have full coverage. My deductible is 1k. My agent is AIS and insurance is Mercury.

Next time they call and verify who you are and ask you if you have a radar detector, say no.
