Thanks to everyone who turned out for the 2005 Yosemite Z run on May 7th. Low on quantity. High on quality! It was great getting to know everyone. Leslie & I enjoyed everyones company. For those who missed out this year.....Here's some photos!
Set 1: Lake Tulloch Resort. Great shot of the fog coming in over the lake in the morning, and the Z crew.

For all those that did not go for whatever reason, you missed out. Saturday was an excellent day for driving. The roads were clean and dry for the most part and traffic seemed lighter than during the heat of the summer tourist season.
As an extra curricular activity and even though the forecast was rain (and possible snow for higher elevations), 4myZ350, myself and our navigators decided we wanted to see even more, since we were out there anyway. The route was 108 to 49 to Parrot's Ferry Rd. to 4. This was good stuff, tree shaded sections, beautiful hillsides, deep canyons, some for driving down into, others just for looking out over. It was all very scenic driving or so my wife tells me. Speeds were kept to reasonable, considering the conditions and my Z did an incredible job keeping planted on every turn.
The whole time, my wife had one eye out for food that looked hospitable to us bay area folks, something we found at "The Blue Coyote" in Arnold. I don't know the story but the owners could have been from Santa Cruz, Big Sir or the like and moved there to "slow down".
On to Calavaras Big Tree State Park, more great wet weather driving but the time we arrived it was raining pretty hard, and getting out and tromping thought the mud to look at some 2000 year old trees just did not sound to appealing. Don't get me wrong, I love nature, I just don't want it in my Z.
A bit of time in the Visitors Center was close enough to nature with it's stuffed mountain lions and dried leaves, we found out there was a nice 9 mile parkway to drive on and we were out of there. The parkway was quite nice and after a quick jump out of the car for some sight seeing, we were on the way home.
These are some of my unofficial pics

Beautiful Pics! It's actually better to have a small gathering than a big gathering on runs like this. Keeps the car together easier and you don't have to worry about leaving others behind or separated; not to mention the logistic "nightmare" of keeping everyone together
